Dr. Sonalika Rungta
For more than 13 years, Dr. Sonalika Rungta has dedicated herself to serving the Windsor Locks community following her graduation from Boston University dental school. Her receipt of the esteemed Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship award in 2017 exemplifies her unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge dental care through ongoing education.
Dr. Rungta has a passion for yoga, travel, hiking, and cherishing moments with her family. She generously lends her dental expertise to various charitable causes, such as volunteering at the Connecticut Mission of Mercy free dental clinic, aiding the Spear Foundation in Guatemala, and supporting a church mission in Jamaica. Additionally, she is an avid supporter of local initiatives, including Windsor Locks High School, as well as the police and fire departments in Windsor Locks.
With a dedication to delivering exceptional dental care, Dr. Rungta ensures her patients receive top-tier treatment using innovative techniques in a welcoming environment that prioritizes comfort.
Dr. Thomas Yanik
Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Thomas Yanik had always wanted a career in the healthcare realm. His educational journey took root at Virginia Tech and Iowa State University, where he dedicated himself to his undergraduate studies, earning a bachelor of science degree. This foundation paved the way for his graduation from the prestigious University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1984. Upon graduation, he attended Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to complete a general practice residency in dentistry. Through rotations in hospital and surgical center operating rooms, he gained invaluable experience in emergency and wellness dental care.
With over 25 years of experience under his belt, Dr. Yanik has been unwavering in his commitment to practicing comprehensive general dentistry, serving the community of Windsor Locks with dedication and expertise. He keeps his clinical skills current through a variety of continuing education courses offered by the American Dental Association, Connecticut Dental Association, Hartford Dental Society, Clinical Research Associates, and Yankee Dental Congress.
Dr. Yanik is dedicated to charitable work, backing Windsor Locks High School students, local Lions and Rotary Club causes, and participating in church missions and the CT Mission of Mercy dental clinic. When not with his wife, 3 sons, and grandchildren, he finds joy in music, travel, birdwatching, and rooting for the New York Giants.
